The client light turns to 0 between y=4096n-2048 and y=4096n-64 (n is a positive integer), for example, y from 2048 to 4032. This cause entities and particles turn black even during the day.
Y=2048 is a height which could get by flying upwards with elytra and firework rockets for only 1 minute, so it is the easiest distance effect for finding in Java Edition.
