The Bug:

The text cursor no longer renders above text.

This issue first appeared in 23w18a. This could be intentional, but I'm reporting it just in case.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Type the following characters in chat without pressing enter.

   /888

2. Position your text cursor anywhere between the red text.
3. Look at the text cursor closely.
4. Take note as to whether or not the text cursor no longer renders above text.

Observed Behavior:

The text cursor no longer renders above text.

Expected Behavior:

The text cursor would render above text, just like how it did in prior versions of the game.
