Blocking with your off-hand doesn't switch to blocking with your main hand if you have shields in both hands

If you hold a shield in both hands, when you block, you by default will begin blocking with your main hand. If you switch to another empty inventory slot without releasing your use key, you will automatically switch to blocking with your off-hand, however, if you switch back to your original shield in your main hand, it won't switch back to blocking with your main hand for you.

This can also happen if you throw your main hand shield on the ground and pick it up again.

I would assume this is caused by if you were to hold torches in your main hand (or any block really) and the shield in your off-hand and you look at an invalid place to put torches (like in the sky), you will default to blocking with the shield, and it blocks you from using the item in your main hand while you are blocking, like even if you switch to ender pearls you can't use them while blocking already, even if they are in your main hand. However, main-hand shields should be an exception to the rule because you already prioritise blocking with your main hand when you have the choice, so switching to a shield in your main hand should cause you to switch to blocking with your main hand.
