It's a minor language thing which may overlap with other translations that closely resemble Dutch (Netherlands).
Cyan colored blocks (wool, concrete etc.) are translated to turquoise in plain Dutch translation.
But in Dutch this would be Cyaan.
This is also the case for dialects like 'Limburgs' 'Brabants' (and maybe others which I overlooked).
remarkable is that Belgium (Vlaams, which resembles Dutch closely) does actually state this as Cyaan.
