Minecraft Realms has extremely high lag times and crashes often when host or a nearby client is not online. Feels like the server is halfway across the world with literal seconds of ping.

What I expected to happen was...:

I would expect to be able to load into a Realm regardless of whether the host or anyone else is also online, and be able to play Minecraft normally.

      What actually happened was...:

The server has unbearable ping with waiting seconds for a response for the most basic functions. I will run into a pressure plate to open a door, and it will sit there closed in my face for 1 to 5 seconds. What truly drew the line to this issue was trying to lead some passive mobs like cows with wheat. It felt like I was playing the on a slide show. Several seconds for one tick or response, often followed by a crash ("Internal Exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset").

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Log onto Realm (with no other clients online)
      2. Perform some more than basic function (lead passive mobs, spawn in hostile mobs, activate redstone)
      3. Wait for server slow down and crash
