I have an up-to-date windows 10 PC, and the lastest version of Java
-
Unconfirmed
whenever I try to launch the game after trying to update it, on all versions, it gives me an error that it failed to download the files.
This is one of the errors I get after doing it once,
Failed to download file.
Name: oshi-core-6.2.2.jar
URL: https://libraries.minecraft.net/com/github/oshi/oshi-core/6.2.2/oshi-core-6.2.2.jar
Error details: Could not resolve host: libraries.minecraft.net
Filename on disk: oshi-core-6.2.2.jar
Path: C:\Users\Lia\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\com\github\oshi\oshi-core\6.2.2\oshi-core-6.2.2.jar
Exists: Nonexistent
I also get this error message after trying to launch it again.#
Unable to locate the Java runtime.
Error details: 0x00000002 - generic: no such file or directory
Filename on disk: javaw.exe
Path: C:\Users\Lia\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.4297127D64EC6_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\runtime\java-runtime-gamma\windows-x64\java-runtime-gamma\bin\javaw.exe
Exists: Nonexistent
I tried to manually direct it to the Javaw.exe file (after redownloading Java since the runtime folder was missing for some reason)
but if I do that, I get this error message
Unable to start Java.
Error details: unknown error
Filename on disk: javaws.jar
Path: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_361\lib\javaws.jar
Exists: File
Ive tried every combination of things to possibly fix it, uninstalling and reinstalling, running as administrator, manually downloading the files... nothing seems to be able to fix it.
