Java Version, Windows 11, computer not known for glitching out. I believe it is not a client side issue.

I was putting the roof over a man made cave, and used /fill the interior section. All of the exterior ceiling part chunks aren't lighted correctly, and and let light through no problem. I know it works with dirt, grass, black concrete, blackstone, stone, deepslate, coal blocks, and other blocks such as red sandstone. I assume it "works" with every block, but it has not been tested. Problem fixes if you reload the world, so it has to do with either updating block files or something.
2 layers of blocks did not help, and without reloading the world, I could not find a solution. It's a minor bug, but I believe it would require a server restart if I were on a server. I see this as a problem if you are building a mob farm on a server, or any other function. I took pictures of it during day, but didn't take pictures during night. I am sorry, I didn't think about it when reloading the world. It does work at night.
One other thing, if you place a block on the ceiling, than an adjacent dark spot will appear to update, as if light is flowing through onto the non glitched chunks. After a couple of seconds, then the light goes back to "normal". Strange.
