Save corruption still occurs after unplugging/power cycling your computer even when you save & exit your world and close the application via the main menu shortly beforehand.

Notes:

You should program the game to only have the world-exit save-screen finish once the players Minecraft save is 100% successfully overwritten. Then force the program to shutdown entirely and not run as a background process once the player presses the quit button in the main menu.
