The Bug
In 22w45a, Vexes got a remodel to be pixel-consistent and match up with Allays. However, due to some fixes in MC-251518, Vex now have an animation error that Allays used to have as a leftover of their old model.
The flapping wings of a Vex clip straight through their head, while this is no longer the case for Allays, as can be seen in this video:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Summon an Allay and Vex with no AI next to each other and look at their wings.
2. In previous snapshots, Allays wings would clip through their heads. Now they no longer do
3. Vex however, despite the model change, have wings clipping right through their heads.
