trying to put the "§" on a name tag

What I expected to happen was...:
minecraft would have to type the" §"

What actually happened was...:
It didn't type anything

Steps to Reproduce:
1. get an anvil
2. get a name tag
3. try to put the "§" in there (for me it doesn't work)
