All vanilla versions before 1.13 are corrupted

      Upon downloading any version from 1.9 to 1.12.2, the text and textures in the game are randomized to the point that it becomes unplayable. 
      Even after clearing the .minecraft/versions folder and redownloading any of the .jar and .json files through the launcher, this bug still persists. Below is an attachted video of what is happening: 2022-11-02 16-00-33_Trim (6).mp4

       

      This obviously doesn't affect 1.19.2, however there is no option that let's me select 1.9 - 1.12.2 (these are the versions that I tested, 1.8.9 and below may be effected too)
