Recently I tried challenging myself by surviving in an ocean only world. As we know you can choose to create a single biome world and decide which biome that would be.

However, I was spawned in what I assumed to be a plains biome. On the f3 menu the biome was still labeled "Biome: minecraft:ocean".
I have looked for similar bugs reported by other users and found reports from way back in 1.18.2 but nothing related to 1.19.2 or anything beyond 1.18.2 for that matter.
