Bees get stuck in farmland blocks next to beehives and are difficult to dislodge by pushing them.

To recreate, set up an area of farmland with a row of beehives in the wall, one block above where the crops are planted, and wait as they enter/exit the hives.

The block below seems irrelevant, as does the position of trapdoors if they are used as I have.
