      The Bug:

The screen flashes for other players when the host of a LAN world changes the render distance.

The render distance of a LAN world is determined by the host. For example, if the host has their render distance set to eight chunks, the render distance of all players within the world would be eight chunks, regardless of what they have this option set to in their video settings. This is a problem because when the host changes the render distance, the screen flashes for other players which may disorient those who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Start a LAN world and get another player to join it.
      2. Change the render distance of the world by navigating to the "Video Settings" menu.
      3. Get the other player to watch their screen closely as you do this.
      4. Take note as to whether or not the screen flashes for other players when the host of a LAN world changes the render distance.

      Observed Behavior:

      The screen flashes.

      Expected Behavior:

The screen would not flash, thus significantly reducing the chances of those who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy from experiencing seizures as a result of the flashing.
