Unconfirmed
so every time my friend (he won't report it himself so I'm doing it haha) tries to open literally any version of java minecraft from the launcher, it immediately comes up with an error notice, telling him that the files are nonexistent
it says that the 'download has failed', there is a link and at the bottom it says 'exists:nonexistent'
he worked out that by clicking the links he could gain access to some missing files which he then had to drag manually into different folders in order to get his game to work and even then he could only get one version to download about half of the files
i don't really know how all the files work so I might be explaining it wrong but the main point is that he is effectively completely unable to play without hours and hours of downloading individual files.
he has tried restarting his pc and deleting all minecraft files and redownloading the launcher
if there is anything that can be done to fix it please let me know ![]()
