      Summary

Recently, I encountered a situation on my personal 1.19 server which led me to some creative experimenting and found that Ghast fireballs don't explode the portal when it passes through the portal block, (not the frame) I'm not sure if this is an actual bug or not, but gameplay wise, i figured at least some conversation about what's the "intended" solution would be good. My friend thinks only the frame should be hit for a popped portal, I think if the ball hits the portal blocks it should pop too, and should always ignite when hitting a frame block**

(What I expected to happen was)

Fireball blows up the portal like how it currently does when it hits the inner obsidian frame

      (What actually happened was)
Fireball passes through into the Overworld and continues its warpath for destruction and fire

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Create a new world, enter the nether
      2. Make a large portal that you can make a platform on without being anywhere near the bordering obsidian
      3. Summon a ghast so that its aiming at the portal, let it shoot at you

      4. (optional) redirect the fireball into the obsidian frame to see what i thought would happen

        • Currently, if you have a large enough portal and a ghast ball hits any non-bottom side of the frame, it won't ignite as no fire block is placed on the obsidian, which leads to ghast balls only activating a portal when the bottom segment of the frame gets hit
