On the current version 1.19 I experience heavy lag and stuttering when changing any video options. Changing an option lags the game out for about 6 - 8 seconds while mouse movement, and any background applications, stutter. Slider options (render distance, resolution..) are practically unuseable and have to be "quess clicked" to the correct value as the slider immediately lags out if there is an attempt to move it.

This bug was not, and still is not affecting version 1.18 installations. I have attempted multiple ways of solving the issue including updating/changing java versions, reinstalling, increasing java process priority, updating graphics drivers, closing all background apps.. nothing helps.

I've attempted launching the game in separate launcher (ATL). No use.

I've tried altering the Java parameters, using defaults and multiple variations, but no help there either.

This issue is not reflected in computer performance metrics (everything seems normal) or provide any errors/warnings etc. in the game output log.

Update: After further testing the issue seems to be affecting all GUI elements in any part of the menu. The game even lags out when exiting.
