This bug (or possibly intended feature, I'm not sure) was put into the game in 21w38a, according to https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-21w38a. It seems that the snooper has been re-enabled, and WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO DISABLE IT without literally HACKING/MODDING the game. I believe that despite the claim on that above mentioned webpage that the data is being handled in accordance with GDPR and CCPA, I believe the game is actually violating those laws, specifically because it DOEN'T allow the player to disable the tracking. It is my understanding that in those laws, not only is data collected to be treated as confidential, but it also isn't to be collected without consent of the person it's being collected from. Unfortunately, this game no longer gives me the chance to consent prior to collecting the data, or even to revoke any consent that the company previously assumed I'd given it.

Since I can't give or retract tracking permission through the game itself anymore, let me make it very clear in this post.
I DO NOT CONSENT TO HAVE MINECRAFT TRACK ANY ASPECT OF MY USING IT!
I WILL NOT PLAY THE GAME AGAIN UNTIL ONCE AGAIN AN OPTION IS ADDED TO THE GAME TO ALLOW ME TO DISABLE THE TRACKING/TELEMETRY FEATURES!
