If clicking inside a GUI quickly, the client-side death message does not appear

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Place a chest down

2)Set difficulty to hard mode and summon a creeper and go into survival mode

3)Immediately, open the chest and start clicking inside the GUI rapidly as the creeper starts hissing

4)When you die, the client-side death message does not appear above the score

Observed Results:
No client-side death message appears
