Normally, the emerging warden is meant to be invulnerable, but mobs that attack other mobs on sight, like a zoglin, wither, iron golem, and Johnny vindicator, will attack the emerging warden, even if they deal no damage. This also relates to the warden moving to face the attacking mob during the emerging animation if it is delt mele damage.
