Specific options.txt values (tested for "gamma" and "fov" fields) that are beyond the default limit (example: 1.25 FOV or 5.0 gamma) do not have effect and are being reset when the file is accessed for writing (opening of Options/Video Settings tab in the game menu).
Expected effect (snapshot 22w11a):
Notice how the image is brighter and the FOV is wider
Current effect (snapshots 22w12a, 22w13a):
Here FOV got reset back to normal and gamma got reset to 1.0. Both screenshots are taken in the exact same location and mouse position.
Both java 17 and 18 have same effect.
How to reproduce: change the "fov" field in options.txt to 1.25 and "gamma" field to 5.0 or use this options.txt
In the versions 22w11a and below you can see how these modifications have effect while in 22w12a and 22w13a they do not
