The bug

Lightning does not render inside of boats.

The bug

1. Place a repeating command block with the following command: summon minecraft:lightning_bolt ~ ~-15 ~
2. Place a redstone block next to the repeating command block
3. Place boats around this setup such that lighting passes through them

Expected results

Lighting would render inside of these boats as it passes through them.

Actual results

It does not.
