Leaves, Water, and Grass are all procedurally colored based on the colormap images in resource packs. Redstone wires are also procedurally colored, but they are missing a color map image.

Note: I am aware the TEXTURE of redstone wires can be changed, what cannot be changed is the COLOR.

What's actually going on:
Impossible to recolor redstone wires
