Found while testing MC-248688. Very closely relates to MC-248684 and MC-244190 - in the latter's case it appears to be effectively the same issue in that it was only resolved for most entities and was not for falling blocks. Also relates to MC-248682

      The bug

Fog starts to occlude falling blocks far earlier than it does normal blocks and entities, especially vertically - it appears to still use the spherical fog rather than the updated cylindrical fog.

      How to reproduce

      1. Create a tower of gravity-affected blocks whose fall can be remotely triggered
      2. Travel far enough away from the setup such that it is close to being obscured by fog, but not quite (low render distance recommended)
      3. Make the tower fall

      Expected results

Falling block entities would be fogged in the same way as actual blocks.

      Actual results

The falling block entities appear to get fogged far earlier than the normal blocks do.
