The bug
Certain mobs are unable to pathfind out of water that is at least two blocks deep to land, and keep bobbing up and down on the water surface attempting to get out of it.
To reproduce
- Find a river or ocean next to land.
- If necessary, dig out some blocks so that the water is at least two blocks deep.
- Summon an animal.
Observed result
It gets stuck bobbing up and down, being unable to pathfind out.
Original description
Some mobs will floating on the water when they drop into water, they can move on the water when they are attracted to something(like a hostile mob see a player, a animal see a player with feed).
But they can't land from a deep(two-block deep or deeper) waters, even if their target/feed/owner is on the land, thay can only stare blankly on the water.
This issue doesn't happen to polar bear, slime, magma cube.
