I am submitting this request, because I am trying to create a worldgen datapack for minecraft 1.18.1 that targets the noise settings of the game, but for a reason, when I touch the new terrain generator, oceans stop generating when aquifers are turned on. Moreover, when I turn them off, oceans generate normally, but for some reason, all caves lower than Y=sea level (63 by default) get flodded. Also, I want to adjust the height of the lava ocean generating in the overworld at Y=-54, which cannot be done using the datapack features. I will attack a sample datapack and show you how oceans won't generate the moment I play with the values of the terrain shaper.
The below image shows that I am in y=38 which is way less than y=63, yet at this level, forests generate instead of oceans. The seed is 123
