Noticed this while trying to place crops. They couldn't be placed because the light level calculated was too low, but upon causing a block update to light source, the light level is temporarily fixed. Despite appearing fixed, the crops still can't be placed and reloading the chunks cause light level to revert back. I tried this with glowstone, torches, and glowshrooms.
