I recently bought a Minecraft account and wanted to play on my friends Minecraft server.

I've tried multiple times but the launcher won't download, I have a stable and fast wifi connection and a core i3 7th gen 8GB ram laptop but the launcher just stays at the "Making things awesome" Download phase, I've kept it on for hours at a time but it doesn't install.

What do I do?
