When connecting to realm servers, I very frequently get disconnected by 'Internal Exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset'. I know this will be marked as a duplicate, but I wanted to include a better step-by-step process/my experiences with the bug.

What I expected to happen was...:
I've never come across this issue in the past until 1.18 dropped, but I've heard that this issue has been occuring for years. I've looked up dozens of guides on how to fix them, and with every attempt, I still get the same issue. I just completely uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft a few hours ago.

      What actually happened was...:

It most often occurs when I'm just trying to log in through the realm. I'm playing on two different realms, and multiple people have experienced it. One of the owners of one of the realms is experiencing it as well, but the other owner for the other realm hasn't at all so far. I believe everyone on these realms is using Minecraft Java edition on Windows 10.

Usually I can just "force" my way through by repeatedly logging in over and over again. After multiple attempts, it just suddenly stops. I can't seem to find any sort of pattern for how or why it happens; it seems to be mostly arbitrary from what I can tell. The most amount of time I've gotten without experiencing this issue is roughly just over an hour, which has only happened at most two times. Other times I'm able to play for about 5-15 minutes, but when it's really bad, I can't even load a single thing on the server without immediately getting disconnected.

I have noticed that with every death I've encountered, I get disconnected when I press the respawn button. I've never died and tried to respawn without getting disconnected (all of these deaths occurred naturally; none of them were purposeful), however my death count since I've had this issue is also low. Other times it likes to disconnect is when I go through the Nether portal. I want to say there's been a very small handful of times where it hasn't disconnected me, but from what I can tell, it's pretty much a guarantee as well. I've not had opportunity to access The End yet, so I'm unsure how the End portal will react, but I suspect it will be the same.

Boats also frequently like to trigger the disconnect, but it's not nearly as dangerous as dying or going through a Nether portal.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Attempt to log in on any realm (owner or not) on 1.18
      2. If you can manage to connect, try to die and then respawn to see if you get disconnected
      3. Attempt to go through either a Nether portal or an End portal to see if you get disconnected
      4. Interact with boats and see how often you get disconnected
