When dropped blocks and the player are pushed into a corner by a water stream the player is unable to pick up the blocks regardless of inventory. If the player moves at all picking up blocks seems to work as normal. If the water stream is not slanted (ie parallel to an axis) picking up blocks seems to work as normal. disturbing the water allows the blocks to be picked up as normal. blocks dropped via breaking blocks also makes this happen. I can't seem to throw blocks into a corner and make this glitch happen. Picking up blocks through the corner works as normal.
