I have a world I've been playing on with to get ready for the new update and as I've been flying around, I've noticed the ONLY biomes I've seen are plains, and when I open the F3 menu, even flying over oceans, they're listed as plains. On top of that, I'm seeing 2-3 villages every like 3-400 blocks away, if not closer to each other. I will update with screenshots when I get around to exploring more.
