Hi,
We were playing yesterday with no issues and today, the Minecraft launcher opens an "updater" and says "Updating Minecraft" for 1 second and then goes away. The program doesn't open.
We've tried the following:
-uninstalling and reinstalling from scratch.
-restarting the computer.
-downloading an installer from an independent site.
-finding to force quit through the Activity Monitor.

All yield the same result.
When going into the package, the file is a "Minecraft Updater" (see screenshot attached)
We were using it with no problem yesterday and have had this problem all day today.
We cannot find any solutions thus far.
