A friend and I were messing around on a multiplayer server. While trying to open my chests, my friend would keep slapping me with bread, and I would keep trying to open the chests. Eventually, the chest would stay open and would close only while I was accessing it. Functionally, it makes no difference except for the fact it makes no noise and no noise is recognized by subtitles.
