i tried to open minecraft today and was greeted with the log in screen. i tried signing into my microsoft account only to be notified that "something went wrong in the login process." what does this mean? how can i fix it?

edit: dunno if it means anything to add, but i'm on an old macbook pro from 2014-ish, it's on version mojave? i know nothing about computers i just want to play funny block game
