Maps are jittery/slower to update than expected

      The bug

      Maps seem to update rather slowly/erratically, especially when compared to other items in the game like compasses, and defies the expected smooth movement. This applies to player movement, rotation and more.

      How to reproduce

      1. Hold a compass
      2. Fly very closely past the area the compass points to - this could be either the world spawn or a lodestone it's attached to
        1. Note how the compass is capable of changing smoothly and rapidly to give an accurate direction
      3. Now create a fully zoomed in map, look down and move fast, such as by flying
        1. Notice how the map is much slower to update, only updating the marker position every third of a second or so
