The bug
All other mobs rotate 90 degrees to the side when killed, excluding most arthropods which rotate 180. It'd be expected that squids tilt as well when dying, because other aquatic mobs like fish do, and it's not automatically obvious to see if a squid dies without waiting to see if it disappears. However, no tilting happens at all.
How to reproduce
- Summon a squid or a glow squid.
/summon minecraft:squid ~ ~ ~ {NoAI:1b,Health:1f}
/summon minecraft:glow_squid ~ ~ ~ {NoAI:1b,Health:1f}
- Kill them.
→ Notice how while it turns red, absolutely no indication that the squid is actually dying takes place outside of the redness lasting slightly longer than normal
Expected behaviour
The expected behavior would be that squids would rotate like all other mobs
