In the Singleplayer menu, when hovering over a world that cannot be selected due to its world format being incompatible (i.e. worlds from experimental snapshots), an error tooltip is not shown.
This is inconsistent with other inaccessible worlds and confusingly suggests that worlds opened in a snapshot version are less problematic than worlds with incompatible world formats.
In addition, a play icon is shown on the world icon when hovering over it, despite the unplayable status of the world. A red exclamation mark should perhaps be shown instead.
Steps to reproduce
- Copy a world from an experimental snapshot into your saves folder
- Go to the Singleplayer menu
- Hover over the world icon
Observed behaviour
No tooltip is shown, and a play button appears.
Notes
- Before 21w39a, this bug could also be experienced using worlds with incompatible world heights (pre-21w37a worlds).
- If you are testing this in a snapshot version, the default snapshot tooltip will show, telling you to back up your world. (This is also incorrect behaviour.)
