The bug
My overworld beacon originating below ground at -275 31 194 is not rendered visibly when joining the overworld "above ground" at -275 67 194. The effects of the beacon are correctly applied and active all the time, it's just invisible. When I teleport to within a few blocks of the beacon origin below ground, it becomes visible and then remains visible above ground normally, too.
The beacon then stays visible until I leave (for example by exiting the game or visiting the nether) and again rejoin the overworld, where I once gain have to visit near the origin of the beacon to make it visible for the time I remain there.
The beacon beam passes trough three layers of bedrock and several transparent blocks on it's way. If I remove all blocks (bedrock and transparent) between the beacon origin and my position above ground, it is rendered immediately.
Attachment "before.png" shows beam invisible above ground. Attachment "after.png" shows visible beam above ground after visiting beacon origin and returning to same place where "before.png" screenshot was taken. Nothing was modified between the two screnshots.
How to reproduce
- Create an active beacon
- Fly 50 blocks upward
- Press F3 + A while looking horizontally at the beam
→ The beam disappears - Look downwards towards the beacon
→ The beam now appears
