In 1.17 or higher the skin I load in the launcher says it has updated but doesn't show in-game (including cape) It only shows Steve and even Alex doesn't work. I tried reuploading the skin, I use Skindex, but nothing happens. 

It works on 1.16.5 and below. I haven't seen anyone else encounter this problem.
