I have just upgraded my PC to a more modern and performing platform. I have my Minecraft Java client installed on my main (new) PC and on my laptop.

On my laptop, the client correctly identifies the server as 1.17 and lets me log in. On my new PC, the 1.17 client says the server version is 1.16.5 and won't let me log in.

What is the problem here ? The install is brand new, there is no prior data corruption or anything.

PS : version 1.17 exists. Your Jira interface has a bug. But yeah, I know, it's JIRA.
