starting in versions 1.15+ custom armor textures will not render as translucent

      a translucent texture-pack that I was making seems to not affect armor in versions 1.15+ as of now, I've tried other peoples packs, that do things similar as mine (all for version 1.17.1) as well, and these packs have had the same problem as what i'm showing here
