Unable to join server

      I have purchased a genuine Minecraft Java version to use on my Macbook. Recently, I want to play with a server, like Hypixel, but whenever I click to enter, it displays the words "Login failed, unable to connect to the authentication server at this time". I am sure I bought a genuine account.
