I noticed that sometimes, when I am placing a block down while an entity moves through it, usually when on a minecart, it either places the block and shows up immediately, or may have a small delay in rendering(I have also seen it happen when I so happen to just barely be in the same space as where I am placing the block.). During both instances, no block placement sound is heard, even if I am right next to the block. (Also, other sounds do play normally, even block placement that doesn't follow the criteria mentioned above, so it's not the volume that's causing this.) I'm sure that someone has discovered this already, but I figured that I should point this out just to be safe. This happens with any block that can be placed in any circumstances,─ even slabs and stairs are affected by this glitch─ but I'm sure that it can happen with ANY block, if there are no block placement criteria. Please note that I am unable to post any snapshots of this, as it would be pointless to show a picture of no sound being played on an image, which image files usually do not play sound when displayed.
