I opened my hardcore minecraft world and 1.17, it had been created in 1.16.4 and when I opened my inventory, I could see the map (that I had on me) replace the texture of my inventory.
I should point out that:

• I had no mod
• It was the largest map size
• It was the first time I logged in with this minecraft account in this world
