Upon everyone logging out of a server, be it Vanilla Spigot or a Realms server, Enderpearls currently active dissapear. The example I have seen is when a enderpearl is floating on bubbles from soul sand below a water source block. Upon logging out of a server, the pearl is gone.

On Single Player, the pearl acts as intended, and remains upon rejoining the world after quitting.
