so when I updated my Minecraft single-player world from 1.16.5 to 1.17, the chunks for my world would just randomly stop loading, so I would have to rejoin the world again so it'd be fixed, but the problem is that it happens randomly quite often, it gets annoying.

whenever it happens it's not just the chunks, whenever I mine blocks they just stay there and start to lag showing the dropping animation repeatedly, mobs become stationary, and buttons also freeze upon activating. 

when I try to walk across the unloaded chunk, the movements start to freeze but I can still move the camera, overall I'm basically spawning in repeatedly on the air waiting for the chunk to load so I can finally touch the ground
