Despite both powder snow and lava being opaque from the outside, the looking_at subpredicate can see entities that are inside of them.

To reproduce, insert the attached data pack into your world and look at an entity in either powder snow or lava using a spyglass. (this will make entities glow that are seen through the spyglass)
