I found this huge very dark area in my world as if there was no light at all but on surface and during the day, it didn't seem like a visual bug to me because some trees were cut off right at the edge of this huge shadow and also mobs could spawn in it, a zombie was in the shadow and wasn't taking fire damage but it got out it started burning. However this shadow disappeared upon reentering the world.
