So I was digging a flat space for a new house and I kept hearing Enderman sounds. I was very confused because this occurrence lasted multiple ingame days. It was only when I dug down far enough that I found a small pocket of air between the place I was digging and the blocks below me. The Enderman had somehow teleported into this one-block tall space.
