My friend and I were working on a datapack that adds a flashlight to the game, and we were trying to raycast using a area effect cloud. We found that in the 1.17 snapshots this was not possible when it was in 1.16.5. I am not sure if this was removed or something but if its not intentional than it should probably be fixed since the option in the auto fill for commands to teleport them is still there.
